Premier Gastroenterology

Premier Gastroenterology Associates (PGA) is a physician-owned group gastroenterology practice that opened in Little Rock, Arkansas on June 1, 2018. PGA was organized by seven physicians who practiced together for several years in the gastroenterology department at Little Rock Diagnostic Clinic (LRDC).

Bill joined the group in January 2018 in preparation for the physician’s exit deadline from LRDC of June 1^st, 2018. During that six-month period Bill was responsible for all activities required to develop the practice, including:

• Creation and execution of operating agreements for both the medical practice and the PGA Land & Realty Company.
• Creation of all policies & procedures, business plans and organizational structure.
• Development of business relationships and contracts, i.e. banking, legal, insurance and vendor agreements.
• Staffing requirements, staff recruiting and hiring.
• Development of all H.R. requirements including all benefits, employee policies and employee handbook.
• Website and social media development and strategy
• Patient outreach, transition from LRDC, file acquisition and abstraction

When Premier acquired an 80,000+ square foot empty K-Mart facility in West Little Rock in 2018, Bill was tasked with oversight of the $35,000,00.00 project to develop a multi-use medical plaza; directing all aspects of budgeting, financial management, design and implementation for the development which is home to Premier's clinic and Ambulatory Surgery Center. Working with the project architects, engineers and construction contractor, construction was complete in less than 12 months.

As CEO Bill focused heavily on improving employee loyalty and satisfaction through continuous quality improvement, providing an above average employee benefit program (including profit sharing) and creation of programs like PGA’s “Catch Me Doing Something Right” employee recognition program.
